ISTR seeks to elect four individuals to the Executive Committee
Overview
In line with the ISTR Constitution, executive committee members serve a term of 4 years. Ideally, elections will be held every two years to keep some established committee members serving when new members join.
ISTR is a voluntary organisation established in 2007. Executive committee members do not receive a fee for their work but do so to support our vibrant culture and history of theatre and performance research and practice. The main objectives of ISTR include:
- Promoting the development of theatre and performance research in Ireland and internationally, encompassing inter and multi-disciplinary performance mediums
- Engaging with the theatre and performance sector in Ireland to offer research-led support, advocacy and strengthening of overall arts and cultural ecology
- Supporting the work of early-career scholars in theatre and performance, including mentorship and training
- Hosting an annual conference, in Ireland and/or internationally
