Dr Miriam Haughton (she/her) is a lecturer in Drama and Theatre Studies at the University of Galway. Miriam joined the ISTR committee as an elected officer from 2014-218, and as Vice-President from 2019-2023. She is PI of IRC Laureate project ‘The Price of Performance’ (2023-2025), and author of The Theatre of Louise Lowe (CUP Elements, forthcoming 2024), and Staging Trauma (Palgrave 2018). Miriam has co-edited the volumes Theatre, Performance and Commemoration (Methuen 2023), Legacies of the Magdalen Laundries (MUP 2021), and Radical Contemporary Theatre Practices by Women in Ireland (Carysfort). She has also co-edited journal special issues, including ‘On Invasion’ for Performance Research (2023), ‘Artistic Collaborations’ for Ilha do Desterro (2018) and ‘Perform, Or Else!’ for Irish Theatre International (2014).
