‘Active Speech: Sharing Scholarship on Teresa Deevy’ constitutes the first conference focusing on Deevy’s work and aims to provide a forum to bring together ongoing scholarship analysing her work. Supported by Waterford Institute of Technology and Maynooth University ‘Active Speech’ will take place online from Friday 12th to Friday 19th of February. The conference is open to emerging and established Deevy scholars.
Conference papers and two pre-recorded practitioner panel discussions will be available in various formats from Friday February 12th and keynote presentations by Professor Christopher Morash and Professor Ann Shanahan will be live streamed on Friday February 19th. The keynote presenations will be followed by live discussion.

Irish Sign Language translators will interpret the practitioners’ panel discussions, the keynote presentations and the live discussion.
